Hi all,
I downloaded an encrypted pdf file from the internet along with its key.
Unfortunately the key only works in the 'other' OS and it works perfectly
there. How can I view it in a Linux system?
I don't have any problem with encryped PDF. I juct opened it in document
viewer and it
me too have a similar problem. cannot open in debian. when trying to open it
asks for password , but even if i give password it wont accept. keep on
asking. But works well in 'other'.
should i use some special tools to open it?

Which document viewr are you using ? Okular or evince ?

I was using evince.
Anyway, please check that caps lock is not on and password is correct.

This one doesn't use a password. It uses a 128 bit secure des or rsa key or
something of that sort but definitely not the usual password. In xp when I
click on the key a keyring manager window appears and the pdf document opens
using the key from the key ring manager.
