I just installed Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat. It looked similar to Lucid.
Software center has improved a lot. I hope they would add more repositories
by default without violating their policies, so that I dont have to mess
with sources.list to get my favorite apps.

Please help me on installing and using TATA Photon Whiz in ubuntu10.10.
Ubuntu's network manager detects the device (HUAWEI) and i could
create connections for Photon Plus and PlugTOsurf (Whiz is not
listed). Using those, Ubuntu try to connece, but message is shown as
University Institute of Technology, Thiruvananthapuram Centre is
organising Technical Fest this year. The main focus of the program is
Free Open Source Software. Dr. V Sasikumar sir is the chief guest of
the event and he will give an introductory talk about Free Software.
