There is the issue and workarounds. Please follow that thread. It
came up on a search. It seems to be a Kernel issue and updating
Kernel will get rid of it . There are some workaround for older
Kernels too.

If you are planning to host websites / test websites .. I would go for
Centos/RHEL as it is the most stable LAMP installation. If you come

I had similar problem with wifi . Can you try installing/reinstalling wicd.
Few others had the same problem and reinstalling wicd was the work around
suggested.
