I have Huawei ETS1201 and its working fine for me in my debian.
Check your dmesg to know whether the device is detected as ttyUSB0 or
ttyUSB1
If detected, just do a modeprobe with the vendor and product id and
dial using wvdial.

follow these steps
*sudo modprobe usbserial vendor=0x**0451 product=0x3410*
now follow the usual procedure
in this case u have to modprobe after each shutdown of the os
