hello binny... i am using trunk version of avant window navigator..
not the stable one... look at the version number.
the link i gave you is a way to install the trunk version. the new
version is a major rewrite to the old one as it says.. and much better
too...
i use the trunk version on my comp

Yes AWN is the best dock for Linux. But it stays at the bottom. I like my
dock to be on top. Cairo does this but it keeps popping in unwanted places
and is very annoying.

AWN is the best dock i have ever used.There is a lot of customisation
u can do in awn ( like make it a 3D look, autohide, very good
themes ).The only problem i felt is that you can't change the position
of awn.Anyway i stick to this one.

awn hides automatically when a window covers it if u enable the
intellihide feature... awn can be positioned on top, bottom, left n
right... n its my favorite dock..

dock-cairodock-configure-accessiblity-activate autohide.i think dock
with open gl is good.when i maximise gimp or openoffice,the desktop is

I compiled cairo dock form source with open gl support. It works fine except
for the fact that it doesn't stay under maximised windows even though I
configured it under the accesssibility options. This is the only problem
with this dock which otherwise is very good.

hi, cairo dock is good with a lot of functions,if u enable the auto
hide,the dock will only visible when the mouse moves over the docks
position.

if u want useful widgets on ur desktop, try the plasmoids in kde. they
can be placed anywhere on the desktop.. they are very good looking and
useful too..
i think awn and plasmoids are d best u can get..
