You use Ubuntu right?

I am not a geek. But my understanding goes here:

RPM is RedHat Package Manager and YUM (Yellowdog Updater Modified) is a
command line package-management utility for RPM based systems. Ubuntu is a
Debian based OS and it uses DEB. Yum's equivalent in Deb based systems is
apt.
