Could anybody tell me what I would have to do if I wanted to create a video
chatting software for the open source platform?

I did look into ekiga but it didn't prove to be quite useful. Instead I
found that Google had released the libjingle API free of cost. Now the issue
is that I don't know how to use it. :sNow can you help?

Yes. You're right. A lot more is required for pidgin to become the de facto
app for video chat and stuff. For now, I'll look into both Empathy and
Pidgin.
