maybe this is obvious stuff..and if it is, sorry to bother...
i had a similar problem a while ago...
mouseconfig from console gave generic mouse ps/2 while my mouse was a
three button serial. i had to manually select 3button mouse serial to
get this to work...(and turn the 3 button emulation off).
Which version and which flava of linux are u on ? RH8 had some major
issues with wine ..

Dear Friends,
I am having trouble getting the middle-click to work. It works fine in
console, but whenever I login through the GUI, it does not work. I made an
entry in XF86Config-4 to enable the 3 button emulator. But, neither the
middle button works nor the emulator.
Thanks,
Arjun

Dear Friends,
Whenever I try to run wine, it exits with an error saying:-
wine: error while loading shared libraries: libntdll.dll.so: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
I tried putting the lib in the path, but in vain.
Thanks,
Arjun

Thanx, its an Intel 845 M/B. redhat-config-xfree86
probes correctly, but still display problems.
Windows NT runs correctly. I guess, we will have
to manually edit the config file.

For the past few days all of the measly contribution that I make to this
list is getting bounced back?
Is it because of my gpg signature that is going as an attachment. If it
is so how can I configure evolution to create inline signatures??

Hi,
What is the Configuration utility for
X in RH9. Is it still xf86config?
Actually, earlier it was a RH8
machine but was not running in X mode,
we upgraded it yesterday to RH9
specifying all packages. But now,
there is no xf86config or
Xconfigurator command.

Hi,
I need to do software Raid on New Drives on a
running server. I have done software Raid while doing
fresh installs and most of documents point to that.
Does anyone know of a How-to for doing Raid on an
already running system?
Thanks & Regards,
