I am Suvra kanta Roy,a 2nd year Computer sci. Engg. student of CET,Bhubaneswar.My
problem is related to a partition that I am not able to recognise.Ihave Mandrake linux
& win-XP running in my PC.But I want 2 install Red hat linux also.I'

You did most of thing right ...
Do following steps more .. this should set it up!
a) export CVSROOT=:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/local/cvs
b) try login via cvs login
in case of problems ... do cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/local/cvs
login

Although, the files limit on my system has been set to 65536, when
doing lsof I get several lakhs. When i do a :
"lsof | grep -c tomcat", i get about 3 lakhs. Why the mismatch ?
Am i using the wrong command? I believe lsof and fuser only differ in
the parameters, otherwise they are the same.

on Harddisk as virtual memory device.
