I don't know if any of you have been following the Phillips webcam
driver in kernel debate over the past couple of days? Basically what
has happened is that:
a. Nemosoft Unv had an NDA with Phillips that allowed them to make
drivers for the Phillips

That's one sensible mail (which should not have been necessary in the first
place) that others could follow. Recently there has been a spate of mails
which could have been dealt offlist after initial announcement. Case in
point "Gmail", Distro CD availability.

How does one upgrade a Knoppix installation. I have enjoyed the Knoppix
ditros given on the "Linux For You" CDs but when I find something nice and
interesting on a new version how do I carry out a selective install/ upgrade

If you are a debian freak this is for you. I have
got 7 cds of sarge d-i as on 7th august 2004. Complete
sarge d-i is in 13 cds and i am in process of
downloading remaining. But to install a desktop only
first 3 are sufficient.

Since nobody pointed it out so let me do it. Knoppix
3.6 has been released
If you want a copy of Knoppix 3.6, you can get it
from me, but for that you will have to come to my
place with blank cd and burn the cd yourself.
