was curious to know if anyone of the list knows of blackberry being used
with Linux OS. and if so what are the reviews etc.
and was seeing on the net that there is anothr device called Treo.
How do the two compare.

client on system, we can simply put the comp in ethernet mode and let the
router do the pppoe. Using rp-pppoe etc., runs into issue

Yeah, you can put the modprobe entry into /etc/rc.local file. It will
load ur modules at startup.

Hi,
I am a BTech CS&E student and am planning to take up a "TV Streaming
over LAN (ethernet)" for major project. Have an idea for it to be
client-server (multiple clients, if possible). totally software
oriented.
Can experienced people plz give incite on feasibility and references
for the same.
i had tried modprobe before and it worked for both of them.But should these
modules load automatically at startup? Is there any way i can fix this?

if you know the name of ur module give the following command
[prompt]#modprobe
this should solve the problems. make sure that ur module dependency is
uptodate. for that u
can give
#depmod -a
