Hi Manish, The error says that the socket file /tmp/mysql.sock does not exist. To recreate the socket, simply restart the mysql server. Once this socket is made, your backup will start running again. The location of this socket file can be edited in /etc/my.cnf Regards Subhasis On 4/21/06,
