ya ClamAV with spamassassin is a good and secured combination for server
based mail scanning on linux.
However, there is nothing like the best, what works for you is good for you.
Security is a journey, not a distinction. A good security solution for today
may see some vulnerabilities tomorrow.

yes clamav n spamassassin is very gud for me its cleaning all my mails for
viruses n give upto 90% spamfilteration with 5-10% of false positives but i
want to know abut others like mailscanner, amavis etc. i'm new to linux
community while googling i've seen in forums that clamav is used
