We got an invitation to present Indlinux Hindi work at a 2 day workshop on Hindi on computers being organized by Hindi unit, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi to be held on 31st March & 1st April More info at http://www.jnu.ac.in/main.asp?sendval=seminar The Hindi unit of Jawaharlal Nehru University is organizing a two-day workshop on script support and compatibility issues for Hindi on computers. The workshop aims to bring together experts from software industry and academia to explore the problems of using Hindi on computer for document creation, information storage and internet content creation using a commonly agreed encoding and processing scheme http://www.jnu.ac.in/Seminar/Workshop.doc Our activity would be giving a small presentation on Hindi computing on Linux and participating in panel discussion on 2nd day. Setting up a stall to demo Hindi on Linux. While this might be done on similar lines like Linux Bangalore events, maybe could be more different since it would be people from Hindi community. Ideas welcome on how to go about it. One of it creating a banner which we would use in these kind of workshops. suggestions welcome on how that could be (but want it by this weekend, so that we can have it ready by 30th ).
