Hi,

I recently got reliance netconnect+, now the problem is (what I think), I
have a couple of base stations near my home, one one which supports
Broadband+ mode and the other one doesn't (works in 1x mode only). I could
think so because in one room, the dialer shows Broadband+ mode and speeds
are good, while in the other room, it shows 1x and speed is very poor. But
in the later case/room, if I manually tell the dialer to use Broadband+
mode, it works like charm.

The problem is, the dialer is for Windows and on Linux it selects network
automatically and most of the times I see speeds like 1x network only.

Is there are way to tell Linux that, "Oh dear stupid modem, there is another
network available that you can use rather than using this dumb network?"

With best regards
