Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite A100 laptop with an Intel HDA card and Realtek ALC861 chip. I have Fiesty installed for some time now and sound works just fine. On a whim, I installed Gutsy the other day on a spare partition and found that the sound is very feeble. Trawled around in Ubuntuforums and found that this is a known issue with Gutsy and though tried recompiling & reinstalling the alsa drivers, nothing helped. Just wondering if anyone one the list can throw some light or should I just wait for HardyHeron??
