I want to start a Library for FOSS books, But the basic math says this is a
difficult task..
A decent 3 room sized place will cost around 15,000 - 20,000 per month. a
care taker with 5000 per month . total operational cost is 25,000 * 12 = 3
Lakh per annum.
If we assume 3000 per annum as fee then I atleast need 300 student , (100
student per room :P )
So I want your feed back that what is the most suitable place in delhi where
we can have maximum participation and How many student really turnup for
this type of activity. Also, if I assume 30 student at 2000 per annum then
this will yield 60,000/12 = 5000 per month.

where I can find donations etc.. how this can feasible.. what is
your thought on this.
Also, do student or professional will prefer to enroll for such library
where every book is available in pdf form in pirate-bay... IMO, many
download a huge book on opensource or other topic but never read in pdf
form. I see many guys to printout pdf and read. after 3-4 year we might see
cheap 5000 INR ebook reader which are much similar to real book in look and
feel. Also, student are only free on saturday/sunday.

PS: Having a such platform will group together like minded guys and increase
the foss community. Also there are many guys/gals like me who already have a
small library at lab (appx 60+ technical book, most of them not read.)
creating common place will save money of such guys/gals.. Having a dedicated
space for hacking or other community oriented activity will be much useful.

Thanks
