hi there, i'm trying to install mandrake 10.0 from an iso image without burning it on a cd. i tried the hard disk installaton method , by writing the "hd_grub.img" file on a floppy using "rawritewin.exe".
the following is the hardware config: location of the files: c:/mandrake/mandrake...cd1.iso c:/mandrake/mandrake...cd2.iso c:/mandrake/mandrake...cd3.iso location to install on : d: or hda5(the extended partition of the same hdd ) In the file copied onto the floppy "menu.lst" i made the following changes using the website"http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/hd_grub.cgi"; : timeout 0 default 0 title Mandrake Install root (hd0,4) kernel /c:/mandrake/mandrake...cd1.iso/isolinux/alt0/vmlinuz ramdisk_size=128000 root=/dev/ram3 acpi=ht vga=788 automatic=method:disk,partition=hda5,directory=/c:/mandrake/mandrake...cd1.iso initrd /c:/mandrake/mandrake...cd1.iso/isolinux/alt0/all.rdz when i booted off the floppy it gave me the error file not found.
