But please please do NOT advocate using mail "filters" at the webmail providers to stop mail from coming. That is irresponsible behavior! You can come in and subscribe to the mailing list, and instead of politely unsubscribing, you would click on "block mail" or "this is spam" links on webmail to stop mails from coming?

I am particularly pissed by this because it has burned me in the past. A very prominent webmail provider had banned my mail server because one of their subscribers decided to click on "this is spam" to stop mails coming from a mailing list on my server. It took quite some effort to undo the damage because we had to dig up proof that the subscriber had in fact subscribed himself. And he was too lazy or irresponsible to go to the mailing list address at the bottom of the mails to unsubscribe. We lost mails for a number of days to that webmail provider before things weer rectified.


So dont give this advice. You might end up banning ILUGD from that mail server itself.
