Thanks to all those who responded.
The problem was the same old infamous 1024 cylinder issue. SUSE was expecting /boot to
be within first 1024 cylinders but the 2GB disk (/dev/hda) had already occupied all of
it. Since I did not want to delete/format my disk, I ended up using fips to free up

Try changing the disk order.
Make window disk second disk. I have seen this error in SuSe quite a
while ago
