We have a G4 1GHZ iMac running 10.5.6 with 1 gig ram. Recently I went
to burn a disc and iTunes would not burn any blank disk. Today I
tried playing a few music cd's and iMac won't read them either.
However, it still list the super drive in about this Mac. I tried
resetting pram and booting
I know this sounds loony but try reinstalling itunes from apples
web-site. I have had good luck with doing this because doing so
resets a lot of the factory settings and it only takes a couple of
seconds.
