So how come my iMac DV running Jag won't boot from a live Ubuntu cd?
Or even be seen as a volume? No other issues at all, but I am curious
to try Ubuntu on the thing---my ultimate goal perhaps to get a more
modern wireless card working with it intead of an Airport card.
Can I install Appleworks 6 on my new intel iMac? I don't feel like
paying
for iWork.

smaller footprint and uses less resources than Leopard I have Leopard

Hi All...
Anyone know what the impedance is for the audio input jack on my iMac
(Intel early 2008)?
I have an older piece of equipment whose audio output normally drives
a 4K ohm magnetic headphone.
Audio quality isn't a big issue... the output is just occasional
spikes with some low level

It would appear to be 20K minimum, judging from Apple's published
specs for the models that preceded and followed it.
Check out these
