I'm asking because the real cards are about $15 but i have a Lucent
Wavelan Silver card here, and it has an antenna plug. And i know
about the AirPort Extreme cards ;)

Unless you can find some way to plug in the antenna in the iMac, the shielding
will block the signal. That slot was made to fit AirPort cards; but the older
802.11A/B ones, and not the Airport Extreme cards.
