In this case your backlight is still working, but there is no video on the screen, meaning the LCD is bad, the cable is bad oir the onboard video is bad. > > B) Is the screen completely black? if yes, go to your Mac > Store. Shine a flashlight on the screen at an angle, if you can see your desktop then the problem is the backlight or inverter. If you still see nothing, then both the backlight and the video are kaput.
