Find another Mac like iMac, pay 5 dollars for a new FireWire cable and use the
other Mac as a disk drive to install onto the G5. If you have an old laptop
drive slot load you can replace that drive also.

iMac g4 power button broke off? From where? If you have a g4 iMac the button
on the back is broke? Or the keyboard? If the button on the Mac is broken
find an apple G3 keyboard at a recycler or goodwill for a few dollars. It has
a power button on it and you should be all set. Good luck.
But his heading says g5 so no GUId needed.
