PRAM reset (using 4 fingers press down alt, command, p and r keys
together before the 'BONG" sound when booting may help.I'm sure someone on this
list may have more knowledge of this machine's foibles.

I know this computer is very old (snowball), but I just need one for my
autistic grandson to use in his room. I just wanted to get him on-line and
off my computer watching Barney. So, I started installing updates to get to
Mac OS X 10.4.11 and use TenForFox, or at least try to get him on Youtube
