That's a good idea, using USB thumb drives.
DVDs do go bad, unfortunately. I have a recording of our band's first outing,
I made mp3s of the Individual songs but didn't keep the original file on the
hard drive. I can see where the data is on the disc but is shows up as empty on
all of our devi
Then copy it to a USB thumb drive on the Windows system then transfer to the
Mac. It may be a wonky dvd, and the drive in the Windows laptop is more
forgiving of data errors than the Macs. If you have a Big lots nearby they
routinely have 8 and 16GB thumb drives for sale for cheap. I have a bunc
