I've heard there is even a covert plot by ATT et al to kidnap and
ransom Vint Cerf and Al Gore. Now, I'd be willing to donate to that
ransom, provided they agreed to keep both of them.
Obviously, you have no clue. The covert plot is actually a cover for a top
secret take over attempt of the

Hello,
I
have been using ICS Premium Edition from past couple of months and I have found
that the Symantec Scan Engine is not good enough to block virus infected
emails. There are lots of virus infected emails being received from outside. I

That's the whole point, Ron!
If ATT has their way, they will literally establish toll roads for good
connectivity, surcharging for access to whatever they deem good stuff on
the net. Do a Google search on net neutrality and read about what's going
on in Congress right now. Whitaker (SBC ATT),
I use IMGate with ClamAV

I haven't seen a problem using Mxguard at all so I'm
wondering what kind of server/load you're running?

Hi,
We're using mxGuard too, but it doesn't use memory as you described. Be sure, that you use the latest version of mxGuard which is version 2.4.
IMail does not support any other antivirus software as a plugin like BitDefender and Symantec.

soon as I hit the Save button all umlauts are removed from the message.
Anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Not sure if this is the same issue, but last week I began having problems with
verizon then sbc then att.
I don't know if Comcast is with that bunch, but.
They started blocking on my email address domain. By that I mean in Outlook,

I cannot send to Comcast ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) from my server running on a
residential Comcast IP. I get the same error in my logs.
This shouldn't be happening to you though, unless you have a 24.* IP
address.

I don't think they can block 24.*, I used to do that and

Did that test and it is not the issue. They are definitely blocking the IP
address.
Does anyone know if comcast is blocking generic reverse dns entries?

550 Comcast does not support the direct connection to its mail
servers from residential IPs. Your mail should be sent to
comcast.net users through your ISP.
Their policy is very clear for an SMTP custom reject text. Congrats
to them for clarity.
It seems like from what you say, their list

That is assuming that is the reason for their blocking that IP - I remain
suspicious. The confusing thing to me is they are blocking a single IP out
of an entire Class C - other domains in that class C are sending just fine.

Even though the language is clear, it would not be the first time an error
message gave the wrong reason for the error.
This might be the old multiple-HELO-responses-from-the-same IP issue.
Comcast is among those who object to this feature of IMail. I had this
problem with them and got them
