Christian, I'm having IMail copy all email (from the IMail admin screen) to
a "duplicate" account. In this account I have a rules.ima to filter key

B~(ewebb):backtwo

Chris,
This means that someone created a rule which is searching the header of incoming
emails for the '@' symbol. This email contained
the '@' symbol as part of the character string '@192.168.1.3' and per the rule setup
was subsequently deleted. Do a windows search

I had to block Excite because I couldn't contact anyone via email. I
unblocked them recently and everything seems fine but now someone in the

That is exactly what we do. We only allow smtp access thru the web interface. But i
noticed something odd.
If I parse my smtp log file I have some records show up like this (we do not host for
the domain jedijournals.com - nor aol...)
01:03 19:40 SMTP-(014A) Connect aol.com [152.163.224.

yes, those ip's are "trusted" to relay mail through Imail. All other
SMTP relaying is denied UNLESS the sender is authenticated using SMTP
AUTH. Authenticated users can send spam so you

Yes, that's what I had hoped would happen. I am the only one who
uses this server. It's used as a Web and mail server...no one
besides me uses this server.

The 550 error message is a generic message for mail not being deliverable, for a
variety of reasons. If you can send mail from one server to that address, but not
another, their server probably doesn't like something about your server. Do you have
a reverse DNS entry set up? Are you on ORBS?
