The Sender: header field is usually the best for this, although technically it should never be rewritten by mailing list exploders, and should therefore technically not function for this purpose (but it is usually the best regardless of all that). If a mailing list includes any of the List-* header fields, use one of those instead. "List-Post: <mailto:imap@;u.washington.edu>" looks like a pretty good candidate. -- Eric A.
