This note is to announce the availability of the University of Washington
IMAP toolkit version 2002a. This release does not introduce major new
functionality. Instead, it addresses bugs found in earlier versions.

Source code for the latest IMAP toolkit release is available at:
        ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/mail/imap.tar.Z
              (MD5: 0ceb02ccac5324e3c6dfcfac49d81f26)

It is also incorporated into the Pine 4.51 release, available at:
        http://www.washington.edu/pine/getpine/
or
        ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/pine/pine.tar.gz
              (MD5: 4ce7c7776b56177852975a2ad19f7202)
        ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/pine/pine.tar.Z
              (MD5: 2cf18b75e65cb242e5b544616c677375)
        ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/pine/pine.tar.bz2
              (MD5: c651d7284e0381c840f52f16f7160e1d)

In keeping with the requirements of the new IMAP specification, we no
longer distribute binaries which don't have encryption capabilities built
in. Pre-built imapd binaries are available for a small number of UNIX
operating environments for citizens of the U.S. or Canada via:
        http://www.washington.edu/pine/getpine/

As with all IMAP toolkit releases, it is important that you carefully test
and determine for yourself that it performs suitable in your environment
before placing any of its bundled software (imapd, ipop2d, ipop3d,
mailutil, mlock, dmail, tmail) into production use.
