imap 2002e on macos X 10.3

Hi I'm trying to install imap uw on macos x 10.3 with pam authentification and ssl no password but no way. Someone told me that version 2003 in development work, so I tried to patch macos X 10.3 to add new target oxp to 2002 version from diff between two version. Bu no way, the patch is included, could you told me where is the problem, what I missed ?
