I'm sorry for kind of a dumb question, I've read FAQ, and even compiled sources
on WinXP, but I'm trying to figure which operating system among *NIX is almost
'ready-to-build' (assuming I have a C++ compiler) UW IMAP server. To clarify
myself, I need to install the server on

Bad news, if you had trouble building under Cygwin you'll probably have
I do my daily UNIX builds under Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Mac OS X.
Either one would be a better choice than any SVR4-based operating system
(such as Solaris).
