I whiltelist legit mail that passes through bogon IP's by adding lines like
this one (for this case) at the beginning of the header_checks_bogon.regex
file:
/^Received:.*\[101\.20.*by MailRoute\.corpr\.jjkeller\.local/ DUNNO
It works very well.

No problems at all Len, I've been using the utility for more than 2.5 years
exporting all my users, more than 13000 in around 150 domains. All of them
are exported, I've checked this several times just to be safe.

ption: ClamAV is a virus scanning utility. ClamAV is affected by a
remote denial of service issue. ClamAV versions 0.85.1 and earlier are known
to be vulnerable.

the only problem is that I don't know a way to
bypass the Postgrey + the Amavisd-new (hooked to ClamAV) filtering.
One alternative would be to use another server to send the mail, is there a
way to do that in an script?

list for someday!:-)
I am rejecting them, as Len set up this machine for me I'm using his
advanced configuration that blocks all dangerous extensions. I'm just not
really sure if in Postfix the content filtering (amavis) is run before or
after the body checks.

use portupgrade for the upgrades, it's much
easier for me. Thank you very much for the input.

Subject: [IMGate] Questions before upgrading
Hello,
I'm getting ready to upgrade Postgrey and ClamAV in my I
maintenances.
I'm aware that I've to stop the services before the make install and =
restart
it after.
If there are any backup procedures that I should follow before the =
upgrades
they're welcome too.
BTW, my FreeBSD version is 4.7.

there any tools in
FreeBSD to monitor the space that each folder is taking, etc. Any ideas =
are
welcome.
My setup:
Pentium III 800Mhz 1GB RAM
18GB IDE hard disk
FreeBSD 4.7
Postfix 2.2-20041013 (snapshot)
Postgrey 1.16
Amavisd-new 2.1.2,1
ClamAv 0.80
Thank you,

I'm using 0.80, any tips on how to upgrade it on a FreeBSD 4.7 box, I'm a
novice in this particular OS. BTW CLAM AV was installed using pkg_add, I
suppose that I should use pkg_update...
Thanks,
