Does anyone have any tips on compiling ffmpeg? I tried the package from
BlastWave but suspect it was compiled with mmx disabled. Enabling mmx
greatly improves it's performance. I've configured ffmpeg with:

well, my system seems a little unstable at the moment (has been ok in the
past). It consists of vmware server 2 beta 2 under centos 5.1 64 bit host.
During image-update several times it's died on me and restarted :s - bit of a
worry, just trying again now...
what I'm trying is roughly this:

What happens when you try to boot the new BE (opensolaris-4 in your post)? You
have only mentioned an error when mounting it, that's why I'm asking. In the
workaround I have posted you don't have to mount the BE. If you can boot your
System into the new BE you are likely to succeed.

I can create the temp be but can't seem to mount it, this happens:

I've used beadm destroy to remove all be's except the current active one, which
is opensolaris-3

opensolaris-4 no
image-update is failed also on my laptop:
$ pfexec pkg image-update
pkg: attempt to mount opensolaris-1 failed.
pkg: image-update cannot be done on live image
$ pkg search `which pkg`
