I just find out that realplayer fail to write to the file
./config/real/realplayerrc due to Gvfs error on indiana, I believe these
two problems you mentioned all cause by the same reason as all these
setting are stored in the file.
We will see what happened to gvfs, and solve the problem

you check whether this file exist, and can you try to reset the
realplayer by click menu->help->reset player to see if the problem persist.
