What is the intention of having "standard" configurations defined in the
repository, such as a basic server, a desktop, a developer desktop, a
web server (AMP stack and related things), as examples?
Will anything be available for 2008.05? Any previews?
Thanks

Did you initialize the repository database on your system (not sure what
the proper term is)? There were some web pages with the steps to follow,
but I can't find them now. And I am currently re-installing, so I can't
run it myself.

See page 34 of the Getting Started guide Barbara post yesterday. I image
this replaces the links I was looking for. Note it is for preview
purposes only.

Maybe even an option to rename them during the upgrade, with the
suggested new names. The user may still have to make their own

Will OpenSolaris install on servers via the service processor/xLOM? I
tried on a pre-production x4100 with known LOM issues and never got the
GRUB menu. I can't rule out the LOM, unfortunately. The KVM redirection
also does not work on this system, so I can't use that to confirm.
Thanks

Thanks, Clay
I will let my customer know. Could not get remote KVM to work on the
systems I borrowed for my tests.
Thanks
