Glynn,
For SXDE, Jeff McMeekin created the attached marketing document which was
included in the /usr/share/doc/soldevex/html directory for the SXDE engineering build of the Caiman installer.
We need to create a similar document to be included in the LiveCD/Slim installer
engineering builds.
Engineering asks that, for LiveCD/Slim, this document not only include
descriptions of the
liveCD/Slim/Distro/Repository/Indiana components, but also include basic "how to" information (how to get started, where to go for further info) for each component.
This is the page that Frank describes below in more detail.

Do you want to own this page for the LiveCD/Slim Installer? If so, Lynne and
I can help you by developing some "how to" information for your page. Please advise your thoughts.
Barbara

Hi Glynn,

As you know when SXDE installs, it places an informational web page for developers on the desktop. This is also set as the home page in Firefox so that it is automatically displayed when the browser is opened. Lynn and Barbara, who did the docs for SXDE and will do them for the Slim installer were wondering if we want to extend this idea to Indiana with:

  * An informational page on the LiveCD desktop that describe what
Indiana is and how to install it from the LiveCD.
  * An informational page on the installed Indiana desktop that
contains info about Indiana, how to download additional
software/packages from the repository, and maybe a blurb about
building their own special purpose distributions.

If you agree with this, perhaps there is other/additional information/pointers/links that you feel should be included.

Frank
