Thanks for the workaround listed in
http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=3562
That worked wonderfully.

More on this:

Doesn't give a result for b107 ?
Yet,

libc definitely didn't update. Had to delete it and pkg fix the image root.
Can you add your notes to that bug?
Thanks,

Hmmm, I'll be running image-update again and check libc. Thanks for the hint.

Strange, it works fine for me:
$ nm /.zfs/snapshot/2008.11/lib/libc.so | grep defopen_r
$
$ nm /lib/libc.so | grep defopen_r
00047479 T defopen_r

I'm getting a similar error, tried this both via updatemanager and image-update
(not that they should behave any differently). The error I'm getting:
ld.so.1: svc.configd: fatal: relocation error: file /lib/libsecdb.so.1: symbol
defopen_r: referenced symbol not found

I've done an image-update to build 107. Trying to boot it, SMF seems to be
failing hard due to a relocation error. It appears that the symbol "refopen_r"
in libsecdb.so.1 is missing. Checking the repository, there isn't a build 107
of the related package (SUNWcsl). Is the repo update not complet
