Well, I am relieved to report that this problem has been (kind of) solved; it
was (most likely) related to the frugality of fonts included in DP2.
Everything (wrt to browsing Chinese-language
g5 (traditional Chinese, ROC)

Thanks. I installed FF3 beta4 on Indiana DP2. Here are some of my quick
observations:
1. It started OK, but for some reason I crashed my GNOME desktop. I had to kill
the xwindow (control-alter-delete) a couple of times to get my GNOME desktop
back.
