Hi, *If* the VM has a PCIE-PCI bridge and you disabled pcieb, then yes the system will panic but with a different stack trace. The stack trace that you are seeing indicates some sort of problem with path_to_inst. In the case of VMWare workstation (I tried version 7), there is no PCIE-PCI brid

I actually have compression=on I manually entered the boot commands into the grub prompt and for some reason build 127 didn't boot (see some text flash on the screen and then the system reboots) so I rebooted under 126. Don't know if the grub menu is working now, I don't intend to reboot the sy
