Was trying to find out if indy2 can be upgraded via image refresh. but when I
was installing the new SUNWipkg, I get:
# pkg install SUNWipkg

That's actually exactly what I did last time and this time. As you can see my
clones are already mounted.
# zfs list

zpl_slim/export 3.58G 6.37G19K /export
zpl_slim/export/home 3

OK I thought that was for previous release and was trying to be a smart ass :-)
Maybe the step can be a little specific and say use the SUNWipkg that matches
the CURRENT NV version ( 0.75 fro build 75 )
Let's see how the image update goes

yes, but it can be confusing - you are upgrading to b79 but should install the
b75 SUNWipkg - I simply thought the procedure was prepared for b75 upgrades...

The image update went OK.
But seems there is some message problem for pkg command:
-bash-3.2# [b]pkg status -u
pkg: no packages installed [/b]
doesn't sound right...
