The tree looks like Berrya cordifolia. The foliage is not clear.
Hence I cannot confirm. You may please visit Gandhinagar 3rd Main
Road almost near the Padmanabha temple. There is a row of
B.cordifolia trees ( 8 to 10) . Take photographs and compare them
with those of TS. You will get

I guess this yellow flower is in its young stage and will gradually develop
purple lines in its petal base which is very much evident in Persian Mallow.

The plant appears very close to Litsea cubeba (Lauraceae) which is
grown in most of the houses in Arunachal Pradesh. Though the leaf
shape looks different here. The fruits of L. cubeba have a very strong
taste and are eaten after making Chutney.
