AM A bit surprised... at your "not sure if it is  flowers or fruits"

it appears you have already taken a sample... picture 2 looks like a
broken/cut branch removed from plant and put on dark background for
photography...
if that is so... did you not take one of the red "FRUITS" and cut it
open to see if its a fruit or a flower???

SINCE YOU ARE A RESEARCH Fellow, any way...take it to lab and do some
dissection and look under the dissecting scope etc...  does not matter
which stream of specialization you are from...
I am not even a botanist nor a taxonimist... but I would do it... if I
already have a sample like you do here... I dont even have a lab... I
bring things home to my kitchen cut with sharp knives or a razor
blade ...  and look with eyes, magnifying lenses and macro lens close
ups for photographs... no sections, no histological stains etc....

and when you have done it ..please educate us with your new found
data...
I look forward to being told what it is ....
