Mimusops elengi (Family: Sapotaceae).
The flowers have a sweet fragrance.  This tree is commonly called
elengi in Malayalam too.
I have heard people saying (not botanists but lay persons) that there
are two types of elengi, those which flowers and those which fruits.
Have always wondered what this means but hasn't been able to solve
this puzzle.
