Dear members
Year 2011 has been unique in the five year history of efloraofindia: the
membership shot up to 1775, 1 lac target of posts was ahcieved, year 2011
itself seeing 6000 mails in a month being achieved and total mails posted
during the year slightly less than combined 4 previous years. There has
also been quality uploads by our veterans and new members equally, we saw
new family episodes attracting large participation. The group managers also
introduced new ways to honour performers in various categories. Above all
efforts of all have helped in building an excellent working relationship
where every one enjoys interactions and any abberations are gracefully
checked. Let us work together to make 2011 much more enjoyable and bring
further progress in the group. Let us all resolve to:

1. Work for maintaining the excellent atmosphere where every one enjoys to
interact.
2. Contribute some new uploads to our database.
3. Contribute some photographs during family weeks (here I have special
request for a few members who have got hundreds of their plants identified
through this group, but
hesitate to share these in monthly weeks in spite of frequent requests.
Sorry to write this but we should utilize occasions provided to us to repay
what we have achieved
    from the group).
4. Nominate a minimum of five uploads in each category (Best
photograph/Best set of Photographs) to show our appreciation for good
photographs. I think voting is a better
way of praising a good photograph as compared to praising through a
mail.
5. Strive to upload plants with all essential details and upload
photographs which contain maximum information to help experts.

Let us all work towards a model working e-Group, and set a goal for other
groups.

HAPPY 2012 for all members and their families.
