*Trianthema portulacastrum* L. (Aizoaceae)-     Found wild in the field 
around my house.
Used as green vegetable in South India. The plant has many medicinal uses:  
used in the treatment of edema in the liver and spleen,uteralgia, and 
cough. The plant is lithotriptic for the kidney and bladder. In the Indian 
traditional medicine system, the plant is considered as a diuretic. It has 
significant hepatoprotective activity against paracetamol and 
thio-acetamide intoxication in

 present investigation is to determine the antioxidant activities of the
