Chinchoti is an offshoot of the Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary and is popular for its waterfalls in the monsoon. This photo is from the open scrubland that dominates the lower reaches of the trail. The upward ascent leads into a mixed-deciduous habitat.

The tree in this photo has retained a fair amount of foliage that will eventually disappear at the peak of the flowering period (in March).
