Nidhan it seems this tree sprouts branches if hurt or if it gets deep enough a scratch!!
there used be on old tree in Victoria memorial ground that had gnarled branches about 3 feet from the ground ..that seemed out of place, since the usual// normal bifurcation etc were at least 10 feet above the ground level... if i go there this week i'll take some pictures for you.
