Dear Dinesh ji,

Apologies for the delayed response; just got back from vacation and
catching up on emails.

I think the name பந்துமலர் pantumalar is suitable for the shape of the
flowerhead, but it doesn't match the size compared to a ball.
I noticed that E. odoratum is called "Buttonpoovu" in Malayalam (FoI
<https://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Fragrant%20Pipewort.html>),
and I think it is more apt. The same can be used with slight modification
for Tamil (Tamilified English!) as button poo பட்டன் பூ (button flower) for
the genus. If this is agreeable, then *E. robustobrownianum *may be called
Mysore button poo மைசூர் பட்டன் பூ (or Mysuru button poo *மைசூரு பட்டன் பூ*
).

Best,

Vijayasankar
